Woohoo! Anxious to see the goodies arrive in the mail. I finished my quilt top except the borders. I need to go shopping for the inner border fabric.

I love my F&P seam ripper holder. I don’t know its real name! It holds a seam ripper upright and I use to to quickly cut apart chain piecing. Lickety-split.

I love my strip cutting board. You can strips and then squares and rectangles in no time. No more moving the ruler every cut. YEAH!

The rotary cutter is the best thing since sliced bread! I can’t imagine cutting out a quilt without it. The best, newest thing is the Bendable Light. And the lord said LET THERE BE LIGHT!!! LOL I wish I had a commission for all the lights I’ve sold just by others seeing mine at workshops etc. I never realized how dull my machine light was, I can actually see the eye of the needle. And I can move it to my other machines. On the frame it really is a godsend.

Since I’m relatively new to quilting (2 years), I can’t be without Better Homes and Gardens Complete Guide to Quilting. Whenever I have a question, the answer is usually there.

My seam ripper comes in a close second to my little 6″ measure with the sliding marker. I often use it to be sure seams are tucked in the proper direction as well as confirming my 1/4″ is really 1/4″.

Of course none of us could get along now without our rotary cutters and acrylic rulers. That said, my latest favorite thing is my brass stiletto.

I use 2 magnetic pin cushions. One on my left for pinning pieces together. The other one is on my right to place those pins as I take them out of fabric as it goes under the presser foot. When one is empty or full – I just switch.

My cutting MAT..I often turn it over to the blank (without grid) side to use as a quick design wall.. or to carry patches to the sewing machine table. I prefer Fiskars rotary cutter; I like its’ handle.
