From Bedroom to Craft Room

November 2nd, 2010

I think this is most commonly the case with most of us crafters. Our extra bedrooms turn into sewing or craft rooms. Yay for us!  The same thing goes fro Gail B. !  Gail has had custom cabinets and shelves installed in her newly remodeled 3rd bedroom, which enables her to enjoy her passion for hours on end, browse through her magazine stash and search the internet.

You can see some of Gail’s projects on her website. You’ll also, see at the bottom of her site, links to her favorite quilt shops…Hmmm…We’re not on there….Wonder how we can get on that list (wink)…. :)

Gail’s room seems like the perfect at home retreat! Thanks so much for sharing, Gail!

If you’d like to share your sewing room on the blog, please email me @ nichole@stitchinheaven.com along with images and a little bit about your room!

p.s. market was a lot of fun and I got a lot of pictures! Deb’s should be back with the camera tomorrow, so I’ll be sure to show you all we found, saw and who we met.

What is the big board on top of your wire baskets” How did you do that? I would love to have a place to lay out my quilts and pin them. Can I copy it?

My basement work room never looked that neat and clean — not even the day I built it. Are you sure that you are doing anything in that room or is all show and tell?

What great inspiration Gail! So many people have a 3rd bedroom that is just rarely used at all. You have shown a way to use it 7 days a week!

nice choice of rooms to set up and it looks like a quilters gadgets are all in place. I am envious of all the daylight windows in these rooms I am in the basement and it is a different world.
I am sure those cubbies get filled fast and then have to be rearranged time and again. I love the wire racks. I would like to get them on wheels and put my big ironing board on it…

What a great room. My husband has convereted a small room for me but the lighting is still a problem. I love the extra long black “goose neck” light you have. Please tell me who manufactured it. I think Santa will bring it for Christmas if my husband knew the brand name.
Blessings for you and yours this Christmas season.
